1977/78 - 28 +1 apps, 1 goal Flynn scored his first goal for the club in a 3-0 home win over QPR on 3/12. Final Position: 9th in Division One.

1978/79 - 41 apps, 3 goals
Wore the no.4 shirt in every game and missed just one League match. Scored in a 3-0 home win over Birmingham City on 30/9, in a 4-0 home win over Derby County on 28/10 & in a 1-1 draw with Bristol City on 9/12. Final Position: 5th in Division One.

1979/80 - 24 apps, 3 goals
Scored in a 1-1 home draw with Brighton on 23/2, in a 2-0 home win over Middlesbrough on 2/4 & in a 3-1 away defeat to Wolves on 26/4. Final Position: 11th in Division One.

1980/81 - 41 apps, 3 goals
Scored in a 3-1 home defeat versus Stoke City on 14/2, in a 1-0 win at Manchester Utd on 28/2 & in a 3-0 home win against Coventry City on 4/4. Final Position: 9th in Division One.

1981/82 - 16 +1 apps, 1 goal
Only goal that season came in a 4-3 defeat away to West Ham on 24/4. Final Position: 20th in Division One & relegated.

1982/83 - 2 apps Flynn played his last game for Leeds in a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on 13th November 1982, he then moved on to Burnley. His only other game that season was in a 1-1 home draw with Carlisle on 16/10. Final Position: 8th in Division Two
