Our family includes Taina, husband Ari, and kids Miska (7 years) and Veeti (5 years). We live in Palokka, in Central Finland. Dogs are our shared interest, and we can all be seen for example in dog shows or training fields.
We got our first Finnish Lapphund in 1989 and have had them ever since. Finnish Lapphund is a versatile breed: it is a nice companion dog and a good show dog, but it can also be trained in dog sports like agility, obedience, and working dog trials! I have trained our Lapphunds in obedience, tracking and skijoring, and our German Shepherds in Schutzhund.
I'm also a committee member of the Lapphund Club of Finland and a contact person and an obedience instructor in the Central Finland's subdivision of the Club. We regard our dogs as a members of the family. All are given basic training and some are actively trained and shown in working dog trials.Our contact information is:
