General instructions

Source codes of the plug-ins menus and some executable *.hks files are available from my site as zip-files from a special Zip-folder. Compiled DLL-files are available from HTML-Kit plugins page. If you have suggestions for editing the source codes, send an e-mail to me (add to beginning of the e-mailaddress my name, Tapio Markula, separated with a comma).. Please report any possible errors which I should fix.

Executable *.hks and *.dll files must be in the /Plugins folder of HTML-Kit (don't try to open them by double clicking files). After you have put new HKS- or DLL-files to the folder of HTML-Kit (for example c:/Program Files/Chami/HTML-Kit/Plugins). Install plugins properly or clear the plugins cache using the main menu (Tools > Install > Install Plugins | Clear Plugins Cache) and restart HTML-Kit.

You can edit source codes (*.hpd) and compile them into *.hks files with HTML-Kit Plugins Generator (don't try to double click files; open first the applications). If you want to compile source codes into DLL-files you need an additional application. You can create new menus or add buttons to existing menus by using as the name of the Section the same as in some existing menu. For example, you can extend TM WMLScript and TM WAPPush menus like any other menu you wish. I have made to my personal use links to local help files to all plugins, which I have done + some default menus of HTML-Kit (Local_Help.hks).

I have used some color and special markup tag in order to show different matters in source codes:

• Source code - this markup means ordinary source code or references to ordinary source code. I use this to express HTML, XHTML and XML tags and attributes and basic CSS-encoding, for example <A class="some"></A> and a:hover {color:...}. In most cases I use in the source code the element <CODE>.
• Scripts - this markup means using of some scripting languages (in my case JavaScript or PHP, for example function (){...}). I use in the source code the element <VAR>. I don't however use this markup for comments because they have an own markup.
• Comments - I express with this color all kinds of comments, which are used in source codes (<!-- + -->, /* + */ and //). I use in the source code the element <SAMP>.

In actual help pages or note pages I give you alternative windows, which I use following signs:

or [M]	Example models, which open to the same window.
or [Pw]	Especially if you have a relative small screen, I recommend to use pop-up windows (Pop-up windows > Pw). The open window is closed automatic if you click another pop-up window link or you go to another page - it doesn't work as a permanent browsing window! You can adjust the size of the window.
or [S]	A new window is like a "sibling window". You don't need to close it, because next time I use the same window. It might remain on the background, but you can get it to the top from the task bar of Windows 95/98 or in other platforms with another way. If you have a high resolution and large screen, you can adjust the width of windows so, that both documents are at the same time visible. I link also pages, which go outside of my own site to this window even if I don't use the sign.
