Opposites Attract

It was amazing, how easily the bus filled with noise of laughter and friendly conversation even when four of the nine people were completely lost in their own thoughts. Elijah and Dominic sat together, Viggo noted. How come he had failed to notice that before? They were at ease with each other, feeling comfortable in spite of how little they talked. And their hands… why didn’t people notice their *hands*? They were practically all over each other, yet every touch looked perfectly innocent. Viggo would’ve bet a lot of money that their fingers were intertwined even though no one could see it because of how they were sitting.

Orlando was sitting alone, looking tiredly out of the window. He had hoped Viggo would’ve sat next to him, but no; the ranger had merely gone and sat behind him. Okay, so they had had sex in the woods. Hot, exciting, wonderful sex, but hey, it was just sex. It didn’t have to mean anything, now did it? But shit, it did mean something, to Orlando. But he didn’t know about Viggo. Viggo showed no emotion on the outside; how was Orli supposed to know what he was feeling? Maybe he wasn’t, Orli thought petulantly. Maybe their hot, exciting, wonderful sex had been just that: sex. A one-shot. A quick fuck to get rid of some extra tension. He tried not to sigh too loudly, merely let the air out of his lungs slowly.

Orli looked at Dominic and Elijah, who were making quiet conversation, sitting together. They seemed to be doing everything together nowadays. He wondered briefly if there was something more between the two of them. Nah, it was just Orli and his over-active imagination. Besides, he had just gotten laid; he had the right to see action all around him, didn’t he?

Dom ran his fingers over Elijah’s palm unnoticeably. For his lover’s ears only he whispered, “We should do that more often.”

Elijah grinned at him, curling his fingers slightly around Dom’s. “What? Play golf?”

“No,” Dom said and chuckled, and everyone else thought Elijah had just told him a joke. “Make love somewhere where we might get caught. Because that, my love, was *hot*.”

When Elijah giggled, everybody expected that Dom had said something equally funny. “It was,” he confirmed. Then he leaned closer to whisper in his ear, “I love you.”

But Viggo knew what was really said. Even though Elijah and Dom weren’t sitting close to him, he knew what they must have been talking about. It was the way Elijah blushed before giggling and the way he leaned closer to whisper something that was definitely for Dom’s ears only.

Viggo didn’t even know why he was watching the two of them so closely. He didn’t really care about their relationship. Besides, he had a pretty nice view of Orli, to be honest. He had a nice ass, really. A *very* nice ass. And *tight*. Viggo’s mouth quirked up in a small smile. Sex with him had been a good idea.

The way Orli felt Viggo’s eyes on him was almost telepathic. He glanced over his shoulder to meet Viggo’s examining eyes. The older man didn’t seem to react when he saw Orli turn around and smile at him. For a short moment they stared at each other in the eye, then Orli turned away and started to look out of the window again.

Viggo glanced at Dom and Elijah again. Dom looked adoringly at his boyfriend. He looked like he was about to burst if he didn’t get to touch Elijah *now*. Then Viggo checked Orli out again and stood up from his seat. “Mind if I sit here?” he asked Orli, who had a surprised look on his face when he looked up at him.

“Go ahead,” the elf said, his entire face lighting up. He shifted a little to allow Viggo more space as the older man slid down on the seat.

Viggo glanced down at Orli’s lap without thinking. When he thought about how much fun it had been to pull those jeans off he smiled again. No wonder Orlando was so popular among the cast; he was a real treat. He wondered how Orli would react to some not-exactly-subtle hinting towards some more action and was just about to put his hand high on the elf’s thigh when Ian sat down on the bench in front of them and turned around to face Viggo and Orli.

“Hello,” he said sweetly. “Did you enjoy golfing?”

“Sure,” Orlando said with an equally sweet smile; Viggo grunted something unintelligent.

“I got the impression you had some problems with your balls. Did you find them?” Ian continued, eyeing Viggo as if he knew exactly what he and Orlando had been doing.

“Yes, we did,” Viggo answered, keeping his voice low and polite.

“You know, when I was younger and started playing golf, I had problems with my balls, too,” Ian said.

Orli groaned inwardly. He wanted nothing more but to touch the man sitting next to him, and the old, annoying, all-seeing father figure in front of him was definitely in the way of his plans.

“Did you really?” Orli said politely, but what he was really concentrating on was how Viggo’s thigh had suddenly come in contact with his. And weren’t those Viggo’s fingers…?

Viggo was blocking out everything Ian was saying… something about losing golf balls, he supposed. He had already gotten quite an audience as most of the people on the bus had come closer to hear what was definitely going to be one of Ian’s entertaining stories. Instead, Viggo was concentrating on keeping his palm on his own thigh but touching Orli’s with his fingers. He wanted some contact with the beautiful young man sitting next to him.

Meanwhile, Dominic was getting desperate to touch Elijah. Their subtle touch had become a little less subtle, and Dom was now almost openly caressing Elijah’s arm and shoulder. It didn’t matter, anyway. Everyone else was listening to Ian’s story about how one of his friends had once helped him find a golf ball he had lost in a lake and had ended up having to take a swim. They didn’t see Elijah and Dominic, they weren’t paying attention.

Dom had thought Elijah was feeling the same kind of sexual tension between them, and was surprised when the younger man got up from his seat and stretched his legs and arms delicately. Then Elijah turned to back to him with a serious expression.

“I think I need to go to the toilet,” he said flatly, and then a mischievous glint lit up his eyes.

And Dominic knew very well what that meant. He watched Elijah make his way to the empty toilet and glanced around to see if anybody was paying attention.

Ian was getting the annoying feeling that only a part of his audience was actually listening to him. The two people he had started talking to in the first place were deep in thought, though they both made agreeing sounds every now and then. It was an awful situation for a storyteller to be in.

Viggo’s leg was still touching Orli’s leg, and that made the elf squirm – unnoticeably. No matter what, Orli needed to keep everything unnoticeable. Every time Viggo and Orli happened to look at each other in the eye, there were sparks between them, the air heavy with tension. God, how much Orlando wanted this guy.

Opposites attract, right? So, Viggo was calm and, well, old, he was artistic and he was deep. Orlando on the other hand was hyperactive, in need of action and open to everything. He needed his life to be exciting, even if not always safe. Bungee-jumping, that had been good; Viggo would never do such things.

Viggo watched the elf subtly from the corner of his eye. Orli was looking a little bit tired – sad, even? Viggo thought that maybe he was already regretting what had happened in the woods. That would’ve been bad. He was definitely looking forward to getting a piece of Orli again, and didn’t want the younger man to spoil everything with regrets. Wasn’t Orli supposed to be the one whose policy in life was, “Make your life worth living,” or some shit like that? Well, I’m sorry, babe, if having a fling with me wasn’t what you wanted.

Ian was now very interested in what was going on behind Viggo’s passive brown eyes.

“…and then we saw a UFO that landed nearby,” he said suddenly, causing everyone else, even Orli, to look at him with renewed interested. Viggo, however, stayed still, confirming what Ian had doubted for a while now. “Four little green men came out and one of them said, ‘Take me to your leader’. And of course, we got to see the president right away and they made some sort of contract about how the intergalactic relationships should be handled.”

“Mm-hmm,” Viggo said, nodding.

Everyone turned to stare at him. This got his attention and he looked up and glanced around. “What?”

“Have you met little green men in your life very often, Viggo?” Ian asked, his voice fatherly.

Viggo raised an eyebrow. “Hmm? Can’t say I have. Though I am getting the feeling that Orli here,” he nudged the subject of his speech lightly in the arm, “is from outer space. Why?”

Ian shook his head discreetly. “Nothing, just a thought.” He looked pointedly at Viggo and then Orlando. Was it possible for this man to know? Then the oldest of present company went back to his story, telling it with enthusiasm, yet calmly, to everyone willing to listen.

Viggo’s attention was suddenly caught by the toilet door opening. Elijah stuck his head out and glanced around. Viggo turned to look away, but as soon as Lij’s questioning eyes were turned away, he turned to look at him again. Elijah stepped quietly out of the small toilet, quickly followed by none other than Dominic. Viggo narrowed his eyes. No, no. This couldn’t be true. The two hobbits hadn’t just had sex in the freaking toilet without anyone noticing, had they? Jesus Christ, hadn’t they gotten enough of each other in the woods? Insatiable, the two of them were. Or maybe it was just one of the plus-sides of being so young. Not that Viggo himself was old. But still. Young people were often very… energetic. He glanced at Orlando. Wasn’t Orli younger than Dom?

“Fancy coming over tonight?” he whispered in the elf’s ear quietly.

Orli’s face lit up. Apparently he wasn’t very tired, either.
