We think that cats are mainly pets and show career is only a minor part of cats' life. That's why we also think the main effort has to be aimed to qualities through which an excellent pet is formed. That means taking care of all possible aspects which may influence to cats' healthiness together with the lovely temperament. It is a pity that these aspects are mostly considered to be granted without saying and these qualities can't be judged or measured (at least it is difficult to measure these values in short term). Sometimes you even have to decide wheather you want success in shows or healthier cats. To us the decision would be easy to make: we would decide the healthy cat!

The difficulty in this aspect is that it may take years to find out the problems. And it also makes this hobby an expensive hobby. First of all the vets charge enough of everything they do, and secondly that means that it is reasonable to have only couple of litters with one cat. It is necessary to keep the gene pool as wide as possible, and if some day an inherited disease is found in the line, it is much easier to exclude the line from breeding if there is only few cats to be excluded and traced. In most cases the symptoms can be found only when a cat gets older. So it is not possible to totally avoid all inherited diseases, but it is necessary to minimize the effects if something new comes out in the future.

But we don't do this for money, we make this because of the cats themselves, those lovely creatures which give us so much delight. We have kept our breeding very small, the maximum is one litter per year, and sofar our breeding has been even smaller. Our breedername is accepted in 1995 and after that we have had only 4 litters (17 kittens).

Not only healthiness, but also temperament of the cats used in breeding, get our full attention. But not only the show temperament but especially the normal life-temperament. Easy to handle, affectionate and social behaviour etc.

Naturally we would also like to have successful show cats and consider also properties on cats used in breeding from that point also, if possible. But we don't like without reserve the direction to develop extremely slender Turkish Angoras. Turkish Angora is a slender, but also  well-balanced cat.

But that point is only "the bonus" in breeding, we are much more satisfied if we can still after 10 or 20 years say that our kittens are healthy and lovely cats!
